 Kids that show a consistent pattern of tantrums, arguing, anger and disruptive behavior may have more going on than simply a childhood phase. The Mayo Clinic said this could be oppositional defiant disorder, which can be considered a disability qualifying benefit by the Social Security Administration in some cases. Treatment of ODD will involve therapy, training and perhaps even medication, so monetary assistance from the SSA would definitely not hurt.

Congressional office suggests cutting veterans benefits to save money

Although there has been a lot of lip service paid to veterans being a top priority for the U.S. government, NJ.com reported that at a recent Congressional Budget Office meeting it was suggested that veterans benefits could be scaled back to cut federal spending. Rolling back compensation for categories of veterans and raising TRICARE fees for military veterans were just two of the suggestions given by the CBO.

Elliot Raphaelson of the Tribune said the Social Security Administration reported that one quarter of current 20 year olds will be disabled by the age of 67. It is imperative for people of all ages to know what are considered disability qualifying benefits and figure out how they can apply with the Social Security Administration when they need to.
